Even though some people may argue that a government limits freedom within a society, it guarantees the safety of citizens in exchange for the limited freedom. First of all, a government protects the rights of the people. How does learning about government and our America help you become a future guardian of the liberties of our country.

Much of a governor's power comes from his or her powers of persuasion. Knowledge of the job, solutions to problems, and the ability to communicate. are also critical in order for a governor to enhance his or her position.

Webster's Desk Dictionary of the English Language defines government as, "The political direction and control exercised over a nation, state, community, etc." The common individual might define government as the root of all evil. The thing about government is that no one stops to think about how government came about.

The proper role of government is one that does not take total control and instead gives control to the people. There are several things that would make a government's role a proper one. Some of these things are the economic system, the way they treat their citizens and the basic quality of life in the country.
